Wyndi Bradley Director

I started my career with King’s Gate in 1996 as the Director of the part time programs. In 2003, I became the director of King’s Gate Christian School. I received my undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Central Oklahoma where I also completed my Master’s Degree in Education. My wonderful husband Bryan and I have been married since 1986 and celebrated our thirtieth year this year! We have one daughter and we enjoy spending time with her and her husband. I have admired King’s Gate for the way the staff loves and respects children since our daughter attended here as a preschooler.  It is humbling to be part of something so special, to be counted among such a gifted and loving staff and to see our GOD work in the lives of so many every single day. I am convinced, more than ever, that King’s Gate is an exceptional place where staff and families work together to prepare and empower students for their individual purpose. Thank you for sharing your family with us!

Ed Thomas Upper School Advancement Partner

I first became acquainted with King’s Gate Christian School by working with the Director, Wyndi Bradley, on the ACSI Accreditation Commission.  Through that working relationship, I saw and experienced the heart of King’s Gate.  Through the opportunity to work with some of the staff, board and parents at the school, that heart and passion for the mission of King’s Gate, Kingdom Education and the love of each student became even more evident.  I am very excited, humbled and honored to be a part of the King’s Gate family and to experience GOD’s work in the minds and hearts of the students. I have been blessed to be married for 42 years to my wonderful wife Dana. We have two daughters and six grandchildren that are such a blessing that it is difficult to describe. GOD has allowed me the opportunity to serve in many roles in education from teacher, coach, athletic director, elementary principal, secondary principal, superintendent, head of school and consultant to Christian Schools.  I thank GOD for allowing me to experience Kingdom Education and am prayerful that the experiences He has given me can and will impact the students, staff and families of King’s Gate Christian School.  There is no doubt that King’s Gate has already had a major impact on my life.

Sara Lux Director of Development and Advancement

King’s Gate invited me to be a part of their Christ-centered family in June 2016. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in HDFS, Child and Family Services from Oklahoma State University and my Masters in Public Policy Administration at the University of Missouri- St. Louis. I have served as an advocate for children and families through my work as a policy associate, university instructor, preschool teacher and development director. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to work on behalf of children and serve King’s Gate families through fundraising and community outreach. My husband, Jonathan Lux, spent the last decade teaching university students from multiple countries, which has given us a great love for international missions and Chinese food. Our daughter, Arden Hope, attends King’s Gate and we are grateful that she is under the tutelage of extraordinary educators that love the LORD and have a passion for raising up leaders that will make an impact in the kingdom.

Kayly Rollins Speech Language Pathologist and Student Support Coordinator

I first learned of King’s Gate about 18 years ago, when I was a graduate student.  At that time I was completing a clinical practicum experience in the HELP program (now called Hearts for Hearing).  I remember thinking “If I ever have children, I want them to go to a school like King’s Gate.”  Fourteen years later, both my children attend school at King’s Gate and I am the Speech-Language Pathologist for the school!

On the way to becoming a Speech Language Pathologist, I earned a B.S from Oklahoma State University and a M.S. from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  From 1999 to 2006, I worked as a Speech Language Pathologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at OUHCS, where I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including specialized programs for toddlers and preschoolers with developmental disabilities.  I have been married to my husband Steve for 17 years, and we have two sons, Layne and Evan.   Six years ago, I became the Speech Language Pathologist for the school.  It has been a wonderful experience to be able to do my job in a place that radiates such a positive, loving atmosphere.  As a parent, I feel so blessed that my children are able to learn and grow here.  There really is no other school like King’s Gate, and I am so excited to be a part of it!

Esther Kerr School Counselor, LPC and Elementary Chaplain

I married my college sweetheart and we have three kids who all attended King’s Gate and one from Columbia who joined our family as a high school graduate. I serve as the campus counselor at Willow Springs Boys Ranch in Chandler and I enjoy speaking, teaching and writing. I am a sometimes silly, broken and alive follower of Jesus. I began serving on the King’s Gate campus in 1996 and love seeing our King’s Gate kids enjoy life, build friendships and come to know Jesus. My biggest hope is for Rich and me, our kids, King’s Gate kids, and the world around us to experience the love of Jesus in personal, profound, life changing, and faith-building ways. (Ephesians 3:17-19)

Laurie Gillum Science Teacher

I have been at King’s Gate as a mom for 7 years and as a science teacher since 2001. I received my undergraduate degree at Lewis and Clark College in biology. For the next 6 years I worked as a wildlife biologist in the rainforests of Hawaii and the oceans of Alaska and Canada. I got my graduate degree from UMASS-Amherst where I did research on the Piping Plover along the barrier beach systems of Cape Cod, MA. For the next 6 years, I worked as the endangered species biologist for the state of Maryland and taught conservation biology at John Hopkins University. I married my best pal in college, Tim, and we have 3 children; Trevor, Haley, and Jack. King’s Gate truly has impacted our family deeply. It was only through King’s Gate leadership and staff that Tim and I were able to find and stay on the right track for Haley who has special learning differences. GOD truly brought the opportunity to me for teaching science here at King’s Gate. I am finally able to teach science from a creation perspective and highlight so many of the truly amazing things in our world, giving GOD all the glory. I never imagined the depth of understanding that these kids would gain. I have been so blessed by passing these biblical messages on through GOD’s creation.

I grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, where my Sooner roots were established. This is also where I discovered my love for music. I was in choirs and musicals all throughout my childhood and adult life. I attended Oklahoma Christian University and I received my degree in Music in 2006 and completed my teacher certification three years ago. I am now pursuing a Master’s in Reading at UCO.  When I was given the opportunity to work at King’s Gate I had to take it. Jennifer Clark Child Development Center (CDC) Director

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Heath, for 9 years.  I learned about King’s Gate when we were looking into private Christian schools for my now 8 year old son, Tyler. This is my third year as a KG parent, and we have been so impressed by the love and passion the teachers have for not only teaching, but for GOD. I graduated from Northeastern State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Family Relations and Child Development. I then went on to teach three and four year olds at Head Start and later at a local childcare center.  I wanted to further my education, and received a master’s degree in Family and Child Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2012.  The next four years were spent as a Parent Educator for Oklahoma Parents as Teachers. I loved working with families one on one, doing assessments, and giving activity suggestions to help with their child’s development. I had the opportunity to join the CDC staff in fall 2016, and I have greatly enjoyed being back in the classroom. We have amazing parents and children at King’s Gate. Heather Harkins Hefner Pointe, CDC Primer Teacher

My eldest daughter attended Kings Gate in 2016 for the first time, and after seeing the school’s dedication and love for her and the other students I knew it would be a terrific place to work now that my younger daughter will be joining the school family. Although I majored in Spanish and Photojournalism at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, I have always made an effort to engage with children, whether it was through church programs or working at summer camps. I love seeing children learn and grow in their unique ways, and am purposeful about encouraging them to know God and see His involvement in their lives. After graduating college my husband and I moved to Phoenix, where I worked with middle school students and earned my Master’s degree in Secondary Education from the local University of Phoenix. Upon returning to Edmond 2 years later I was a long-term substitute for middle school Spanish. When my first daughter arrived I decided to homeschool her for kindergarten and first grade. Her younger sister was homeschooled for kindergarten. That journey solidified my commitment to fostering an enthusiasm for learning at an early age. At the end of the day there is great joy in knowing I am positively influencing the future through engaging with children. I appreciate the opportunity to join the Kings Gate family in their role doing the same!
