King’s Gate Christian School Team

Mrs. Wyndi Bradley Head of Schools, Ed. S.

I started my career with King’s Gate in 1996 as the Director of the part time programs and I became the lead administrator in 2003. I received my undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Central Oklahoma where I also completed my master’s degree in Education.  I received my Ed. S. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. I married the love of my life, Bryan in 1986 and we celebrated 33 years this year! He still takes my breath away like he did the very first time I saw him.

I have admired King’s Gate for the way the staff loves and respects children since our daughter attended as a preschooler.  I am humbled to be part of something so special, to be counted among such a gifted and loving staff and to see our GOD work in the lives of so many every single day.  I am convinced that King’s Gate is an exceptional place where the King’s Gate Team and families work together to prepare and empower students for their individual purpose.  Thank you for sharing your family with us!

Mr. Ed Thomas Upper School Advancement Partner

I first became acquainted with King’s Gate Christian School by working with the Head of Schools, Wyndi Bradley, on the ACSI Accreditation Commission. Through that working relationship, I saw and experienced the heart of King’s Gate. Through the opportunity to work with some of the staff, board and parents at the school, that heart and passion for the mission of King’s Gate, Kingdom Education and the love of each student became even more evident.  I am very excited, humbled and honored to be a part of the King’s Gate family and to experience GOD’s work in the minds and hearts of the students. I have been blessed to be married for 42 years to my wonderful wife Dana. We have two daughters and six grandchildren that are such a blessing that it is difficult to describe. GOD has allowed me the opportunity to serve in many roles in education from teacher, coach, athletic director, elementary principal, secondary principal, superintendent, head of school and consultant to Christian Schools.  I thank GOD for allowing me to experience Kingdom Education and am prayerful that the experiences He has given me can and will impact the students, staff and families of King’s Gate Christian School.  There is no doubt that King’s Gate has already had a major impact on my life.

Mrs. Nicole Payne Director of Development and Advancement

Prior to joining the King’s Gate family in August 2018, GOD introduced me to the school while I was living in Claremore, OK and visiting the area to help Crosswalk Community Church clear out the area that would become the outdoor classroom. I left that day never anticipating that GOD would call me to move here a year later (almost to the day), but I do remember thinking about how much I would love to be a part of a place as special as King’s Gate! So, here I am ready to help grow the school and share my passion for partnering with families to make Jesus known in how we teach our children.

I am a serial coffee drinker who married Matt, the guy who won me over while we were still in high school. For most of our married life we have been involved in some form of pastoral ministry. We have four children together that bless our lives with joy, laughter, and even a few gray hairs! I am excited for the future of King’s Gate and can’t wait to get to know and serve all of you as we work together to advance the vision of this amazing school!

Mrs. Cassie Kuykendall Administrative Assistant

I joined the King’s Gate staff in 2017. I have been married to my wonderful husband Kile since 2009 and the LORD blessed us with our sweet girl Kaylee in 2013. We have a 6-pound yorkie named Sushi. She has been blind for most of her life but loves playing fetch. We love going to the zoo, the science museum and exploring nature at all the various parks around the metro. I love all things gardening and recently discovered running. So far, I’ve run 1 half marathon and hope to add more in the near future.

We moved from Moore to Yukon in 2016 to be closer to better schools and out of tornado alley!  Once we settled in we enrolled Kaylee in King’s Gate Preschool at Surrey Hills Baptist Church. We fell in love with the teachers and staff and Kaylee thrived. When it came time to register her for Pre-Kindergarten she moved to the Hefner Pointe location and I joined the office staff shortly after.

As a parent turned staff member it has been amazing to get the know the parents and staff better. It is apparent GOD is hard at work here with our children. I especially enjoy working at both locations, so I get to know each of the students. The King’s Gate community is one big family and I feel blessed to be part of it.

Mrs. Laurie Gillum Science Teacher

I have been at King’s Gate as a mom for 7 years and as a science teacher since 2001. I received my undergraduate degree at Lewis and Clark College in biology. For the next 6 years I worked as a wildlife biologist in the rainforests of Hawaii and the oceans of Alaska and Canada. I got my graduate degree from UMASS-Amherst where I did research on the Piping Plover along the barrier beach systems of Cape Cod, MA. For the next 6 years, I worked as the endangered species biologist for the state of Maryland and taught conservation biology at John Hopkins University. I married my best pal in college, Tim, and we have 3 children; Trevor, Haley, and Jack. King’s Gate truly has impacted our family deeply. It was only through King’s Gate leadership and staff that Tim and I were able to find and stay on the right track for Haley who has special learning differences. GOD truly brought the opportunity to me for teaching science here at King’s Gate. I am finally able to teach science from a creation perspective and highlight so many of the truly amazing things in our world, giving GOD all the glory. I never imagined the depth of understanding that these kids would gain. I have been so blessed by passing these biblical messages on through GOD’s creation.

Mrs. Jennifer Plattner Kindergarten Teacher

Hello!  My name is Jennifer Plattner and I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of the King’s Gate Family! We are originally from Huntington Beach, California where our children were raised and where I taught Pre-K for 19 years. 2020 marks our 7th year living in Oklahoma and we are enjoying the people and the adventure that GOD placed before our family!

My husband and I have been married this year for 27 years. We have four children ranging in age from 13-25; with our youngest daughter, Libby, attending King’s Gate as well! We are always on the go and love to travel back to CA every chance we get! My new family, here at King’s Gate, has helped me make the transition of living and working in Oklahoma perfectly!  The staff here is a wonderful group of Christians, with love and grace in their hearts.  The feeling of GOD’s love within the building is almost unexplainable, until you have witnessed it personally. It is a place that you wish to spend your days, and where you know that your child will be loved beyond measure and cared for in the best way possible!

I am so excited that GOD led me to King’s Gate and to kindergarten! The year 2020 marks my 5th year teaching kindergarten at King’s Gate and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching my former kindergarteners grow with our school!  (It may be my favorite part!) The growth and maturity that takes place in the children while in kindergarten is remarkable, and I thoroughly enjoy being a part of shaping their minds and hearts! I am undoubtedly very blessed to be at a school where we can worship and study together in the LORD, and I look forward to each year more than the last!

Mrs. Jennifer Clark Child Development Center (CDC) Director, M. S.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Heath, for 12 years.  I learned about King’s Gate when we were looking into private Christian schools for my now 11 year old son, Tyler.   This is my sixth year as a KG parent.  We have been so impressed by the love and passion the teachers have for not only teaching, but for GOD. I graduated from Northeastern State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Family Relations and Child Development. I then went on to teach three and four-year-olds at Head Start and later at a local childcare center.  I wanted to further my education, and received a master’s degree in Family and Child Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2012.  The next four years were spent as a Parent Educator for Oklahoma Parents as Teachers. I loved working with families one on one, doing assessments, and giving activity suggestions to help with their child’s development. I had the opportunity to join the CDC staff in fall 2016, and I have greatly enjoyed being back in the classroom. We have amazing parents and children at King’s Gate. It is truly a privilege to work here.

Teaching children has been a great part of my life for the past 34 years.  I was excited when Wyndi, Head of School, asked me to be a part of King’s Gate Christian School. The Lord opened this new door for me, and it is truly a blessing to be able to work alongside such devoted Christian women. I have been married to my best friend and the love of my life for nearly 36 years.  We met at Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas.  I continued my education at Central State University (University of Central Oklahoma) and completed my education degree with two additional certifications.  We have one son who serves in the Air Force at McConnell Air Force Base, and his wife also serves in the Air National Guard.  Together they have blessed us with five terrific grandchildren. Christ has always been our family’s foundation and we continually seek his will and purpose for our lives.
Every day is a blessing, and it is very rewarding to be able to love these little ones and share the love of Christ with them.  May our Lord richly bless them and their families.
