Celebrating Sara Lux!

Sara Lux joined King’s Gate Christian School as the Director of Development and Advancement in 2016 and set the school on a path for tremendous growth.

Under her direction, and with the help of so many dedicated families, the WonderGround at Surrey Hills came to include the butterfly garden, wildlife observation deck, outdoor classroom, vernal pond and a bird blind. She led the first phase of the Growing King’s Gate capital campaign which resulted in the purchase of King’s Gate’s first bus and the beginning of the Next Generation Building at the Surrey Hills campus. The Next Generation building will include a state-of-the-art science lab, classrooms and room for expanded special enrichment programs.

Sara also helped secure two significant grants for the Growing King’s Gate campaign, one from the U.S. Fishing and Wildlife Department and the other from the Kirkpatrick Foundation. Her involvement with two galas and two Amazing gRaces helped make these events the best the school has had.

Sara has been hired to serve as the Director of Communications for Leadership Development International (LDi), located in Tianjin, China. LDi has provided leadership development services, including teaching, experiential learning, and family services, in China and around the world since 1980. LDi established a nonprofit corporation called International Schools Consortium (iSC) that established a school in the U.A.E. and 7 schools in China, including Tianjin International School. Jon, Sara’s husband will teach English Literature at the high school and Arden, their daughter will attend preschool at Tianjin International School.

Please join us in celebrating Sara Lux and all that the LORD has accomplished through her time at King’s Gate Christian School. We pray for safe travels and the opportunity to impact more of GOD’s children in Tianjin.

He gives me new strength. He leads me on paths that are right for the good of His name. Psalm 23:3
